This wasn’t meant to be a documentary. I’d always had an appreciation for the American South, but I’d never actually experienced it for myself. Aotearoa/New Zealand has always had a deep respect for Black American culture especially Southern Black American culture and I wanted to show people back home the things we don’t always get to see or fully understand. So I went. "My Letter to the South" is about the journey that followed, something I never expected. There was no script. No plan. Just two Kiwi fellas exploring a place we have always loved that we are seeing for the first time.
The biggest highlight of the film is easily the performance of Andrew Garfield. In his days since hanging up his Spiderman suit, Garfield has routinely churned out great performances, and Mainstream is no exception. He proves that he is willing to try anything and go anywhere in a character.
'Zombieland: Double Tap' was entertaining and fun at times, but not very evolved. It had poorly developed female characters and stereotypical characters of color.

Adam McKay might have been more concerned with cramming cameos than he was in this story which is a bloated criticism of the rich and famous… delivered unto us by the rich and famous.
The Invitation takes a creeping look at two simple premises: reuniting with forgotten friends and new-age spiritualism. Though one seems a bit scarier than the other, the film heightens social awkwardness to a macabre level that puts an uncomfortable look on when the social taboo of grief is put on public display.
