Mischief
When 10-year-old Valentina moves to the countryside with her parents, she feels lonely and out of place. To pass the time, she explores the surrounding fields, defying her mother’s orders, who tries to keep her at home with stories about the Cuca — the feared witch of Brazilian folklore who takes disobedient children.
Everything changes with the arrival of a mysterious nanny. Strange events make Valentina question whether the legends are just scary tales or if there is some truth to them. Between disturbing dreams and her parents’ disbelief, the girl must confront her own fears and discover whether the Cuca is merely a product of her imagination — or if she has truly come for her.
