On a Fun, but Bumpy, Road with Onward

One of the reasons that people with albinism have a difficult time being seen and represented in media is probably because there is a small percentage of them.
The problem isn’t that it’s bad. It's good. But it fails to stand out from a crowd of similar films.
After We Collided is a sequel to last year’s After, which itself was based on Anna Todd’s 2014 novel of the same name, and which was originally published as a Harry Styles-centric fan-fiction on WattPad (a similar path as E.L. James’ Fifty Shades of Grey series).
'The Lovebirds' is one of those movies that has a very direct appeal when it comes to its comedy. There isn’t a singular style, so much as tidbits of various ones here and there.
This little Netflix film was very inspirational. It passes the Bechdel test, and features a different worldview with rural Indian representation.
