When a Parisian filmmaker begins work on a new movie about polyamory, she gets lost between fiction and reality, risking both her art and her relationships. As a combination of fiction and documentary, the film could be classified as a ‘UMO’: Unidentified Movie Object! On the one hand: a comedy about a female director who plays with fire by testing out polyamory on her own relationship. On the other hand: a serious, poised, and thought-through documentary with speakers who have reflected on the topic or who live it everyday. Between the two, a grey area in which fiction gets entangled with reality. Will her sweetheart rise up to the challenge of polyamory? Will she finish her film?
The film's Incluvie rating is off the charts. It features Black, Muslim, queer, trans humans whose moms hold them up, fight for them, and love them for who they are...making anything possible.

For those who have not read the book but love a good romance story, this film will easily grab your attention and your heart. And for those who are fans of the novel, it is safe to say they were pleased by this adaptation. Because even if you are bad at science, it is easy to see the chemistry between these two characters.

There were too many irrelevant parts that could have been shortened, and too many characters that didn't advance the plot. Either way, some things didn't add up. This was just another played out plot with little, if any, originality in it. By the end of the film, I wasn't happy that she finally got her freedom, I was happy that it was finally over.
