Actor Takuma is in a relationship with the actress he’s working together on their current film, but she is thinking of marriage while his feelings have recently gone cold. His cold attitude has gotten more obvious, and he breaks up with Satomi on set, causing a stop in the filming. Reeling from shock, Satomi leaves the movie. Time passes, and Takuma returns to his hometown and is working as a salaryman. He meets Rika, a plain-looking office worker, and starts a relationship with her believing he can turn her into his perfect woman. However, there’s no chance in the way they interact or have sex, and Takuma expresses his discontent with the constantly apologizing Rika. Takuma can’t make his way in the countryside so he decides to return to Tokyo yet again. Meanwhile, Satomi is still battling with her broken heart. Wanting to change her situation, Satomi asks Rin for advice, and Rin introduces her to Yoshio, an heir to a farming family, however, things don’t go as planned.

At first glance, “The Good Liar” is a respectable piece of fiction, starring Ian McKellen and Helen Mirren. But underneath everything, the film expertly hones the unpredictability of deceit.
KIMI is the main character of this film and as much as I wish it was Angela Childs played by Zoe Kravitz, it isn't. KIMI is a smart device that works not unlike Amazon's Alexa and Google's Nest assisting in anything from home purchases to music playing all under the guise of only activating when in use.

The height of subversive horror cinema is Jennifer’s Body. No, I will never budge on that. Yes, Cabin in The Woods is funny, Scream is very well made, and the Scary Movie franchise is …. there. But nothing is quite as satisfying as watching the teenage succubus that is Jennifer Check rip apart boys. In the post #metoo era where the industry is far from changed, watching revenge flicks like these is probably one of the most cathartic experiences due to the slow-moving progress being made.
The relationship between the characters is what makes this film stand out, and it’s just all-around fun.
