Together with the families running Christmas tree businesses we follow the journey of the ultimate winter symbol crossing countries and cultures, from Georgian fir forests, through Christmas tree farms in Denmark, shopping rush and festive fireworks. As the holidays are over and the cities quiet down, here and there lie the abandoned Christmas trees.

I came across Urchin by chance and decided to watch it because of the title. It made me think of the spiky animal that lives at the bottom of the ocean, and the old Dickensian novels, where an urchin was an orphaned, homeless child in shaggy and dirty clothes.
This little Netflix film was very inspirational. It passes the Bechdel test, and features a different worldview with rural Indian representation.
This short film was an overall creative success.
