Suwardi (Suwardi Becak Lawu), a police officer with the rank of Assistant Commissioner, is transferred from Jakarta to his hometown in Garut to carry out a mission for the government’s Task Force on Human Trafficking (Satgas TPPO) to combat kidnapping and human trafficking. The joy of his return home turns into a nightmare when his own niece, Lilis (Cinta Kharisma), is kidnapped by a human trafficking ringleader. Overcome by deep guilt and in conflict with Asep (Iyang Darmawan), Lilis’s father, Suwardi forms a special task force to dismantle the largest human trafficking network in West Java, led by Rando (Macho Hungan). One ambush after another drags Suwardi into an escalating vortex of fistfights and shootouts until a shocking truth about Rando’s true identity is revealed.
I have been a long-time fan of the Marvel Cinematic Universe ever since it made its official debut through 2008's absolutely excellent "Iron Man". The run continued, as did my associated fandom of the films, through the utterly EPIC 2019 finale "Avengers: Endgame".

For the entirety of Raiders of the Lost Ark, Marion remains in full control of both her body and her personality, a rarity for female characters at the time of the film’s release. She’s granted depth with personal demons from her past and emotional vulnerability when the situation deems it appropriate for her to grow alongside Indy. She avidly rejects the notion of being anything other than a sassy, humane rebel, and Indy’s equal in every way. This she does while still maintaining her femininity.

It's the common practice in Hollywood of late, sometimes offering us victorious reimagining of what can be considered cinematic classics while also, more often, falling flat on their UN-imaginative faces in utter defeat and lackluster results. Admittedly, with this in mind, I went into the newest incarnation of "The War of the Roses" with typical trepidation and cautious optimism.
