
The story of Kara Seyit, a wandering musician who returns to his village to find it under the oppressive rule of his uncle, Beşir Ağa. The film follows Seyit’s quest to rescue his fiancée, Binnaz, and his father, who have been taken captive by Beşir.
There were too many irrelevant parts that could have been shortened, and too many characters that didn't advance the plot. Either way, some things didn't add up. This was just another played out plot with little, if any, originality in it. By the end of the film, I wasn't happy that she finally got her freedom, I was happy that it was finally over.
The beating heart of this film is the relationship between Anna Osborne and Sonya Rockhouse.
"Abominable" is an exciting story for children and a great step forward for positive Asian representation.
