Shion was found abandoned with a cat and raised as a child by the Fujisaki family. When she becomes a high school student, a traffic accident brings back her memories of the time she spent with a cat, and she decides to search for her whereabouts. Eventually, Shion arrives at Siebold, a cat shelter run by a single woman.
Written and directed by Eva Victor, who also plays Agnes, the main character, Sorry, Baby is slow and artsy, but extremely effective. It shows how the trauma developed after a sexual assault has a ripple effect and loudly echoes in the victim and her life for years after.
All in all, 47 Meters Down: Uncaged is a film I would recommend. It promotes the bond of sisterhood, which in this case is clearly thicker than blood, as well as courage. No one truly knows how strong they are until they go through something unimaginable and come out changed for the better.
