A blind woman and her eight-year-old grandson walk over a carpet of dead leaves in a park. She recounts him the terrible story of the morning she woke up completely blind, years before he was born. The boy is frightened and sadden by the realization that his grandmother has never seen his face. She can nevertheless see him with her heart.
The major flaw of the series is that it’s hosted on Netflix and barely makes malicious comments about it despite being focused on the lives of people directly affected by the Capitalist mentality of the OTT corporation.

Few movies deal with aging (particularly aging women) with as much compassion as Relic does. Yet it’s not sickly sweet and not a soapbox rant against ageism. Relic simply is, allowing the horror to seep in quietly and carefully.
