Hard to Get 

It’s almost the end of the first month of 2021, and just over a week since the U.S. saw a new president take office. In light of the occasion, some of us highlighted our favorite political films below!

Marcel the Shell with Shoes On is the most human movie of the year. It is based on the 2010 short of the same name that follows a big-hearted, little shell named Marcel as he navigates through life in a human-sized world. 

A 3D animated film centered on chasing fame in the humble stomping grounds of middle school. Unfortunately, while the protagonist dreams big, the plot falls short and fails to capture even a semblance of diversity.

A collection of the ten best films that captured William Shakespeare’s pathos the best, both for the diversity they bring, and of course “the aesthetic."

By undermining the appeal and credibility of black characters, the show compromises the very idea of diversity and representation it sets to promote.
