Two new students at a public high school—Dea and Rachel—along with one of the school’s alumni, Farhan, set out to expose a scheme of illegal fees that has been plaguing students and their parents, allegedly orchestrated by the school principal, Supriyatna. It all began when Dea noticed several irregularities at her new school, starting with the student admission process. Dea discovered that a friend had been admitted to a prestigious school with the help of an insider, despite not meeting the criteria. During the re-registration process, Dea also found that the price of the school uniforms required of new students was unreasonably high. Even during classes, she encountered various irregularities—such as teachers forcing students to buy additional textbooks, requiring extra lessons outside school hours, and mandating the purchase of swimming pool tickets even when students could not participate in swimming activities as part of their physical education class.
