When a terrified teen covers up a crime by committing even worse ones, a veteran officer reliving a tragedy from his youth races to stop the rising body count as the boy’s unraveling sanity turns a chaotic school year into a nightmare.
KIMI is the main character of this film and as much as I wish it was Angela Childs played by Zoe Kravitz, it isn't. KIMI is a smart device that works not unlike Amazon's Alexa and Google's Nest assisting in anything from home purchases to music playing all under the guise of only activating when in use.
Though often underwhelming as a whole, Nevertheless is worth the watch because of the relationship between Sol and Jiwan. It is a stunning, refreshing take on the friends to lovers trope that LGBTQ media has been missing.
