“Everything’s Great!” is a comedy-drama about a young woman dealing with her father’s alcoholism: she struggles to find stability, bouncing between her chaotic home life and a messy, millennial relationship, but eventually finds it within herself.
As noted in the headline, I didn’t like this movie. Not to say it’s the worst thing ever, but it’s just…meh. Nothing much to it. Very generic. No surprises. At the very least, the cast is diverse so I’ll give it that.
This film is a splendid mix of mediums, but its strength lies in its simplicity and beautiful message of closeness.
