“Not My Dog,” But It Should Be
Not only can viewing Not My Dog inspire people to adopt a dog that may be facing tremendous odds, but even that simple action of watching has a social effect.

Ellektra is a story about comfort. The main character Sam finds real comfort and is released from her virtual comfort, drugs. Her true comfort is the sixteen year old girl Ellen, who puts people suffering from severe misfortune into contact with each other through SMS, and gives new meaning to their lives.

The plot could’ve really been interesting if the elements of lycanthropy was integrated with perhaps the struggle of identity of being LGBTQ+. It's an experience for so many that as they’re starting to realizing their true selves, they feel like a monster, especially if they come from unsupportive homes or communities. Instead, the horror and transformation elements seem thrown in without contemplation of how this could deepen the narrative.
A lot of us are emotionally impacted by the current pandemic. So, while we’re all stuck here in our homes, it’s great to put on a movie to ease the stress. With that, I made up a small list of some of my favorite feel-good movies.
‘A Good Person’ makes it clear that forgiveness is hard.
At first glance, one wouldn't think John Carpenter's cult classic would be a thematic double-billing - or that Free Guy would be worthy of being mentioned in the same sentence as They Live - but the two films of vastly different genres have more similarities upon further examination.
It is up to the community to decide if this film is a force for enlightenment or not.
