As "one with a heart", Aglaia Szyszkowitz always sees her job as a bailiff as a challenge and an opportunity to help people in financial difficulties. Even if this means that she sometimes has to interfere in the lives of her current "cases". Fresh from the divorce court, Billy Kuckuck is hired by farmer Röschke to collect a personal loan from Tanja Pohlmann. Her husband, who recently died in an accident, had taken out the loan with Röschke to build the new farm store without her knowledge. The demand for repayment could mean final ruin for Tanja Pohlmann, who is already at the end of her tether and unable to manage the indebted farm.
