This Year, 'Mickey Saves Christmas' for the Kids
An animated short film that never gets old, especially with iconic characters from the Disney series.

Registration of the second theatre program by the Dutch comedy duo Droog Brood (Bas Hoeflaak and Peter van de Witte). The show is a sum of apparently separate scenes that show the human struggle and the desire for affection. Misunderstandings and clumsiness determine our interactions with each other, while meanwhile there is always the consciousness that love will bring us the deepest happiness. But affection is always present. The characters in this show fail, but ultimately they find an answer in the simplicity of the moment.

The film is a documentary focusing on heavy metal in the late 80s and tackles topics like drug addiction, alcoholism, sex, masculinity, and of course, rock and roll. However, this didn’t feel like any documentary I’ve ever seen before.

Tran Quoc Bao succeeds in telling us a story about martial arts, human decay, and friendship. The originality shown by his filmmaking is admirable and brings fresh air to the classic Chinese martial arts genre.
Moonlight is a film that will certainly be remembered for how it won Best Picture, but the movie itself should be known for its excellent representation of one of the most underrepresented groups in film: Black, gay men.
