It: Chapter Two Review: An Ambitious, Worthwhile Sequel
This is ambitious horror filmmaking, and in a lot of ways, I fully admire its ambitions. For me, the film’s sloppiness defines its overall quality.

Abe Tetsuya and his wife Mariko are newlyweds. One day, Tetsuya is involved in a traffic accident and falls into a coma. Meanwhile, Mariko is called by Tetsuya's boss, Kai. He forces her to drink a drugged drink, rapes her, and tells her that Tetsuya has been embezzling company funds.

The audience is taken on this journey knowing the tragic ending but not so much about what led him there. A large topic of discussion is the influences on Elvis that made him who he was as a singer, musician, and performer, which were blues, gospel, and country. Many of the songs that rose him to fame were songs by Black artists he heard growing up in primarily Black settings.
