The Invite is witty, dramatic, funny, and probably the best comedy released this year so far.

The mid-70's: A timid young New Yorker leads an uneventful life until he is fatefully exposed to the pulsating rhythms of a brand-new genre of music....disco. Unable to control his murderous impulses that stem from a traumatic childhood experience, Duane Lewis transforms into a dangerous serial killer exiled to Montreal.
The Invite is witty, dramatic, funny, and probably the best comedy released this year so far.
The most impressive aspect of this film is the honest and natural performances given by the on-screen duo.
An incredible documentary showcasing the difficulties of living in a crumbling Rust Belt city.
There were too many irrelevant parts that could have been shortened, and too many characters that didn't advance the plot. Either way, some things didn't add up. This was just another played out plot with little, if any, originality in it. By the end of the film, I wasn't happy that she finally got her freedom, I was happy that it was finally over.
"His Girl Friday" set the bar for romcoms and gave us a feminist heroine before feminism was cool.
Halle's belting, crystal clear notes, and warm tone infused something into this blockbuster that I thoroughly enjoy.
