Animal rights activists, whose influence is growing, are working to put an end to humanity’s exploitation of animals. Why continue to kill animals when there are other options? Giving up meat and trying a vegan lifestyle for over 100 days—that’s the challenge filmmaker Mathurin Peschet set for himself. A journey from omnivore to vegan, full of questions about our habits and our society, which he recounts in his documentary “Dans la peau d'un végan”.

In the film adaptation, director Jon M. Chu turns each musical number into a massive show stopper, with grand set pieces and a wealth of diverse dancers. Yet, in this attempt to show reverence for the people of the Washington Heights barrio, Chu, or maybe more specifically those in charge of casting, left out a crucial part of the community, Afro-Latinos.
An Indonesian film that brings strong representation of Asian descent in this heart-warming tale of a woman and her dog.
Nick Rowland’s She Rides Shotgun is a blistering, blood-soaked road thriller that doubles as a bruised love story between a haunted ex-con (a career-best Taron Egerton) and the daughter he barely knows (astonishing newcomer Ana Sophia Heger). Fueled by white-knuckle chases, razor-tense shootouts, and quiet moments of aching tenderness, the film captures both the terror and fragile beauty of survival. It’s gritty, heartbreaking, and unforgettable—a father-daughter odyssey destined to leave audiences shaken.
