Incluvie Film Fest 3rd Place Winner: ‘Warmth’ Review
This film is a splendid mix of mediums, but its strength lies in its simplicity and beautiful message of closeness.

In the wake of a scandal, Arato Nikkuni is demoted from his elite government job and transferred to the remote island of Izumosuito. There he encounters the grand casino CRUD, and its young yakuza boss, Yuki Tensho. Inexplicably drawn to one another, their beliefs clash, and the two soon become embroiled in a life-or-death power struggle. On top of it all, Izumosuito happens to be home to a powerful supernatural force, sealed away at the bottom of the sea... CRUD is the first play produced by Yu Akahoshi's theater troupe, Zero Terra. It ran from September 28th - October 2nd, 2022 in Tokyo.
This film is a splendid mix of mediums, but its strength lies in its simplicity and beautiful message of closeness.
Horse racing is a very difficult sport and challenge, especially for a young woman like Michelle Payne.
'The Last Black Man in San Francisco' is part fiction, part documentary. Jimmie longs for the old Victorian home that he grew up in — the house that his grandfather built. However, this home is now in an overpriced, White, San Francisco neighborhood.
Another uneven "Guess Who's Coming to Dinner" redux that says nothing novel about its subject matter.
Kill Bill: Volume 1 is a highly entertaining flick, designed to tap into our levels of adrenaline. Tarantino has crafted a cinematic winner, overflowing with nostalgic richness and a love for cinema.
Although Tuner is technically a heist movie, music and sound are woven into almost every aspect of Niki’s story. That’s what made Tuner such a pleasant surprise. I expected a film about music and discovered a heist movie, only to find that music was still at the heart of it.
