Crazy Rich Asians. The title is tacky, but the actual movie is both heartwarming and cosmopolitan. After all, it takes place in Singapore!

Despite this, and the assurances of Western Governments to abide by these laws, the film documents how Western charities evade laws that ban them from funding foreign militaries and illegal settlements.

Ultra-violent storytelling has never been my thing, but the issues with Scarface go beyond that. The film perpetuates harmful stereotypes about Latinx immigrants and uses gore and misogyny for shock value that never serves any purpose. The whole venture is frustratingly empty, and left me desiring something more.
The human experience is described through the eyes of a marginalized outsider, neither judgmental nor invested, just an observant donkey.
'Kajillionaire' is a touching and eccentric story about family, crime, and the search for belonging.
