On a cold black-and-white night outside a monastery, a nun- Hester- sits bleeding after being bitten by a vampire. As the fire roars around them, Hester attacks and bites Mary’s arm before Mary instinctively drives the stake back into Hester, killing her again. Mary collapses in agony as the world suddenly shifts from black-and-white into color, and she awakens transformed.
