Dissecting the Casual Racism of “Airplane!”
Airplane! (1980) is a fun spoof comedy with lots of laughs, right? I watched this film for the first time the other night. I loved it. Then came the racist jokes.

A young woman falls in love with a chef who resides in the UK illegally. Their love for each other is threatened by Zhizhi's desire to leave and travel the world. Yet if her lover sets foot outside the border he will never return. So Zhizhi must ask herself what she loves more, her love for this man of her chance to discover herself and be free.

The film's Incluvie rating is off the charts. It features Black, Muslim, queer, trans humans whose moms hold them up, fight for them, and love them for who they are...making anything possible.
Weird has a name and it's, Weird Al. 'Weird: The Al Yankovic Story' makes you want to "Eat it" then "Beat it".
Diversity is incorporated in a way that only aids in a well-rounded conveying of stories through different lenses. The show’s success is a testament to what audiences are craving: authentic stories that broaden the mind and heart.
The idea of Rosemary's baby but with lesbian partners drew me in, and I was anticipating what the film had in store with its reimagining. Unfortunately, it all felt a little too vague to leave an impact.
