'Carol' Movie Review: A Gorgeous LGBTQ+ Romance
The 1950s lesbian romance is stunning, emotional, restrained, and, simply put, one of the best movies I’ve ever seen depicting a woman-loving-woman (WLW) relationship.

The film tells the story of Ferdi, who becomes known as a notorious killer while trying to escape a blood feud. Ferdi's uncle is killed by a hired assassin working for his enemies. Although everyone witnesses the murder, no one except Ferdi can identify the killer as Kara Hikmet. When Hikmet comes to kill Ferdi, Ferdi kills him and his men. This murder, committed by Ferdi to protect himself, makes him famous as a ruthless killer. Over time, Ferdi becomes a folk hero. However, Ferdi's greatest test will be Pınar, the woman he loves, and her brother.
