Shudder’s Host (not a particularly original title, I must say) attempts to bring the spooks to “the quarantine generation” by presenting us with a scary Zoom call during lockdown.

But what happens when two couples from different states who strongly hold onto their own traditions are bound together in a legal marriage? Noah (Nazrief Nazri) and Safiya (Mia Ahmad), who have just separated from their respective partners, decide to get married after knowing each other for only six months. Their conflict begins when it comes time to meet with their respective families who have many differences.
