Ultimately the problem with The Bubble is that it plays everything for laughs to get around the audience’s defenses. Y tu Mamá También is a deep journey into the raw sexuality and friendship of the young protagonists, as well as a subtle social and political commentary on Mexico at the time.

A surprise sequel takes place ten years after the original movie based on the title of the same name, but with a twist to the fairy tale.
