Razak is ashamed of his father's enthusiasm and actions, and asks his father not to continue with his plan. Rahim remains stubborn, but gradually, Razak feels his father becoming weaker. Eventually, Razak discovers that his father is battling stage four bone cancer. Rahim passes away before he can achieve his dream. Razak, who initially did not think Independence Day was important to him, begins to continue his father's unfulfilled struggle. Finally, he successfully gathers many people to Merdeka Stadium on Independence Day.
