“Host:” Quarantine Horror for the Online Generation (Review)
Shudder’s Host (not a particularly original title, I must say) attempts to bring the spooks to “the quarantine generation” by presenting us with a scary Zoom call during lockdown.
BAHUBURA
Mr. Teacher, a quiet and principled schoolteacher, is devastated after losing his only child in a tragic road accident. The very same day, at the accident site, he comes across another injured boy-abandoned, nameless, and unconscious. Everyone around looks the other way, but Mr. Teacher steps in to help. As he nurses the boy back to health, he discovers the child is a victim of a deeper evil-caught in the clutches of a trafficking network. What begins as an act of kindness becomes a mission of justice.
