At the quiet Sirius Theater in the countryside, struggling filmmaker Fukuyama works amid mounting debts while nurturing his passion for film. The theater’s owner, Inuzuka—fearing impending blindness—sees Fukuyama as his potential successor. Meanwhile, unspoken affections complicate matters when long-time admirer Tamaki and the mysterious film star Hitomi (later revealed as Ayame Nakanishi) enter the picture, intertwining their fates in unexpected ways.
Cursed is based on Frank Miller’s graphic novel, and is a retelling of the Arthurian legend with a twist. Instead of King Arthur gaining Excalibur, a teenage sorceress named Nimue (Katherine Langford) does. Her people — the Fey — are being hunted down, and so Nimue will do whatever it takes to save them.
“Synchronic” is special, but it doesn’t succeed in achieving all the objectives it aims for. The film is a science fiction oeuvre which tries to be cerebral at some points, although the original idea is interesting, it only accomplishes to talk about some serious matters superficially.
Disney has hopefully learned some lessons since 1994. Are those lessons reflected in the 2019 remake of "The Lion King?"
Throughout Brendan Fraser’s career, he has played a plethora of unique, layered characters who explore the importance of not being afraid to display your emotions, something that is often seen to not be a masculine trait. This idea of regulating emotion and what traits men are able to possess creates a toxic atmosphere for men who are often told they should not cry or represent their emotions in any physical way. These characters represent that men can be joyful, emotionally conscious, and sensitive, while also representing their masculine identity instead of painting those qualities as fighting against their masculinity.
'Don't Lose Your Head' follows the motto of "grades aren't everything."
