He was dismissed from Säpo after becoming embroiled in a political scandal linked to Sweden’s Minister of Justice—the so-called Ebbe Carlsson affair. He was also accused of going behind the prosecutors' backs. For all these years, Jan-Henrik Barrling has been bound by a duty of confidentiality. Now, for the first time, he speaks about his work on the Palme murder case and about the wiretapping of a Soviet diplomat and spy—a recording that remains classified to this day.
