“Leviticus” and Leviticus
Like most young people, Leviticus is imperfect. But I love it anyways.

The scene is set in the year 1944, wartime Fukuoka, Japan. The Japanese Imperial Army are cornered. They decided to send students to the battlefield. On his way home from a draft check, Kanji, who is hiding his gayness, agonizes over whether he should declare his feelings for his friend Sakunosuke, who is leaving for the front lines tomorrow.
Like most young people, Leviticus is imperfect. But I love it anyways.
From its visually stunning opening credits, which show women dancing through a forest to musical rhythms that sound almost primal, to its quiet, heartbreaking final frame, Mona Fastvold’s historical rendering of the Shaker religious movement is an experience that will stay with me for a long time.
Cursed is based on Frank Miller’s graphic novel, and is a retelling of the Arthurian legend with a twist. Instead of King Arthur gaining Excalibur, a teenage sorceress named Nimue (Katherine Langford) does. Her people — the Fey — are being hunted down, and so Nimue will do whatever it takes to save them.
The second season arrives over three years after its first. While late on arrival, most audience members will be happy.
Though 'Bound' technically falls under the genres of crime and thriller, the film's heart is a romance between two women.
