Not Much More than Magic in 'Maestro'
In 'Maestro,' we're left with an impression but not with an understanding of the main character.

After putting her lucrative writing career on hold to raise her daughter—with little help from her feckless husband—Aiden finally has the opportunity to get back to work and showrun a new installment in the TV franchise that put her on the map. As she struggles to meet her looming deadline, pressure mounts, toxic family dynamics arise, and Aiden’s frustration builds to a breaking point.

The one-way journey went to the desert that refused to offer an answer or a transcendence.
Overall, Matthias & Maxime doesn't reinvent this romantic concept. But it also doesn't need to. Dolan weaves a story of love, friendship, and life that is both realistic and bittersweet. The film is nuanced and sensual in a way we don't get to see often with LGBTQ characters. It's a film that we can celebrate.
Disney has kept its word and allowed a new generation of Black and/or African storytellers to tell their own original stories. The question remains, will the public keep their word?
Unknown Origins promises a cool spin on superheroes and serial killers, but ultimately delivers cheap comedy.
Although not canonically aromantic or asexual. the stories and personalities of these Disney princesses resonate with members of the aroace community.
