The Wonder Years (2021 TV series)
This reboot of The Wonder Years is told from the lens of a Black man.

The play takes place within a critical social comedy framework, where it satirically reviews the concerns of the Iraqi citizen and the contradictions of society, through the journey of a simple person seeking to preserve his dignity and respect in the face of life's pressures and social and economic conditions.

The gentle, emotional nuances of Evan’s coming-of-age story would have been so beneficial to have incorporated into the life of a POC character. There were too many irrelevant parts that could have been shortened, and too many characters that didn't advance the plot. Either way, some things didn't add up. This was just another played out plot with little, if any, originality in it. By the end of the film, I wasn't happy that she finally got her freedom, I was happy that it was finally over.
