Set in a future dystopian United States in which water is running out, Julia Hart’s Fast Color (2018) is a refreshingly different take on the superhero film.

It’s a cool looking Marvel character right off the page!  He’s got these glowing eyes and he just kicks ass everywhere he goes, seemingly impervious to pain.  

Disney+ recently released six short films entitled the “Launchpad” collection in which diverse directors tell diverse stories.
