An Indonesian film that brings strong representation of Asian descent in this heart-warming tale of a woman and her dog.
The differences in these films could not be more blatant, and yet Gus Van Sant has found a way to portray the same messages and use the same techniques in each.
The film didn’t have to be as long as it is. It just dragged on and on with scenes that had no substance. Every so often we get an action scene, and even those isn’t that fun.
As a frequent “the book was better” extoller, this movie was well worth the watch.
