Walter Yataco (Wolta) is a director, editor, musician, and interdisciplinary artist from Lima, Peru. His work portrays contemporary Lima identity through film, documentary, photography, literature, humor, graphic design, and transmedia narratives, with a humanistic and experiential perspective. Over the course of his nine-year career, he has directed and collaborated on documentaries, short films, music videos, live sessions, digital campaigns, and transmedia projects. His work has been exhibited and recognized at festivals and exhibitions in Peru, England, the United States, Canada, Chile, Colombia, and Ecuador. He is interested in telling stories where the technical dialogues with the emotional, and where art functions as a space for memory, identity, and social reflection.
