Vigo Antony Novar Sasela
Vigo Sasela is a Jakarta-based filmmaker whose work intimately explores themes of grief, coming-of-age, and social issues. Currently a student at the Jakarta Institute of Arts, he has written and directed several short films, 2026 releases Mati Ketawa (Dead Jokes) and Abigail. Beyond his independent projects, Vigo has worked in the commercial film industry since 2023 in script continuity and assistant directing roles. His storytelling has earned him a Top 10 placement in the Lazada Story Competition (2023), a nomination at Minikino Filmweek 11 (Begadang 9 Year) 2025, and Official Selection Ganesha Film Festival 2026. He now leads Walrus Films, a production house he founded to foster creative experimentation.
