Stefano Bertelli

Stefano Bertelli

Born in Rovigo, Italy on May 27, 1981 (age 45)

Stefano Bertelli (b. 1981) began making amateur films at age 16. In 2002, he entered the music industry as a director and producer of music videos, and has since created numerous works for both national and international artists. In 2021, he won a Webby Award, and one of his recent animated pieces was officially selected at the Ottawa International Animation Festival—one of the world’s leading festivals for animated cinema. Since 2014, he has dedicated himself entirely to producing music videos using stop-motion paper animation, a handmade technique that marked his early works back in 1997. He collaborates with major international record labels, directing official videos for artists including Eminem, Pink Floyd, Motörhead, Robbie Williams, Amy Lee, Lindsey Stirling, Purple Disco Machine, and many others. His first feature-length narrative work, Spacetime Chronicles, expands this unique handcrafted style into a surreal and visionary cinematic journey.
