Pavel Kvatch

Pavel is a director driven to produce challenging and ambitious work, with the long-term goal of creating feature films that explore elevated genre and the complex motivations of human character. Born in Vilnius, Lithuania, he immigrated to New Zealand in 1993. Since completing film school in 2010, he has worked on over a dozen international productions, including The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power, Ghost in the Shell, Predator: Badlands, and Star Wars: Episode IX – The Rise of Skywalker. During his time within the studio system, he has gained experience across a wide spectrum of filmmaking roles, from on-set work in the Camera and Lighting Departments to off-set roles in Production, VFX, Costume, and the Art Department. This breadth of experience has given him first-hand insight into filmmaking at the highest level, working alongside some of the industry’s leading professionals.
