Born in Syria on January 1, 1974 (age 52)

A Syrian film director, who studied cinema in Turkey and began his career as a director of many music videos. He moved on to documentary filmmaking, then he made his first feature film, 1/2 mg Nicotine (2007), which won a number of awards. He then presented his second film, Damascus with My Love ( 2010). Among his other credits are Fires (2017) and Four O'Clock at Paradise (2015).
