Born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, United States on January 15, 1998 (age 28)

Loren Jevnikar (he/they) is an award-winning trans director & editor based in NYC. They have a varied portfolio encapsulating narrative, commercial, installation/video art, and music video projects. As a filmmaker, Loren is interested in exploring intimacy and vulnerability in its many forms. He loves taking on character-driven projects and stories with social impact. Loren’s edit work has screened internationally in over 7 countries and numerous Oscar-qualifiers, including Chicago Intl, BeyondFest, HollyShorts, Tasveer & more. In 2022 they were a show editor for the NAACP Image Award-winning short doc-series “Daring Simone” starring Simone Biles. Their short film “Half-Light” won “BEST DIRECTING” at its World Premiere at NFFTY 2023, and went on to screen at the Oscar-qualifying HollyShorts, amongst other festivals. Holding a BFA in Film from Syracuse University, Loren has additionally studied at FAMU International in Prague, CZ.
