A Chilean and Peruvian filmmaker raised between Florida and Valparaíso. Lisa is an award-winning screenwriter, director, and producer who has served on the screenplay reading committee for the Atlanta Film Festival and worked as a Basecamp Production Assistant for MGM Studios. Her horror-romance short film, La Santería, has screened at festivals across the U.S., earning awards for both Lisa and her cast. She gravitates toward Latina characters who are messy, determined, complex, and armed with a sharp wit. Through her work, she hopes to expand the kinds of stories we see on screen, giving women of color the freedom to be more than a stereotype or a supporting role, but the driving force behind stories as bold and multifaceted as they are.
