Rafiah Shiraz
Rafiah Shiraz is a New York City-based filmmaker, writer, director, and actress of Surinamese-Indian and Pakistani descent. She graduated from New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts with a BFA in Film and Television. Her work explores identity, culture, family, and relationships through character-driven storytelling. She wrote, directed, and starred in her short film Small World, and wrote and directed the BIFF Award-winning short film Tensile Strength. She made her feature acting debut in Jackrabbit.
