Michael Clarke Duncan (December 12, 1957 – September 3, 2012) was an American actor. He was best known for his breakout role as John Coffey in The Green Mile (1999), which earned him an Academy Award and Golden Globe nominations for Best Supporting Actor. He also starred in the films Armageddon (1998), Daredevil (2003), and Talladega Nights (2006). Duncan passed away from a heart attack at the age of 54.
