Marco Santos
Marco Santos is a Portuguese filmmaker from Porto whose work moves between fiction, documentary and formal experimentation. His films explore the relationships between territory, body, memory and identity, approaching cinema as a space for observation and inquiry. Working within auteur and experimental cinema, Santos is interested in historical erasure, emotional residue and the unstable relationship between truth and representation. Through fragmented narratives, visual experimentation and archival gestures, his work examines how personal and collective memories are constructed, transformed and sometimes erased.
