Known for her humane and emotional songs, Ma'ida's lyrics became Iraqi classics over half a century. She briefly left singing but returned, leaving a lasting impact. Ma'ida retired in the late 1980s, living in Amman, Jordan, until her passing on September 19, 2018, at 75.
