Born in The Netherlands on January 12, 2004 (age 22)

Jelle Lamers is a Dutch filmmaker, director, writer and producer from Heesch. He graduated from the Dutch Filmers Academy in Eindhoven, where he studied Film and Audiovisual Media, and is a co-founder of the production collective Studio Hulot. His work includes the short films *HAPPYLAND* (2024), *Amé* (2025), and his graduation film *De man die niet slapen kan* (2026), a surrealistic black-and-white 16mm film told largely through Dutch Sign Language. Both *Amé* and *De man die niet slapen kan* were selected for the Student Competition of the Nederlands Film Festival. Lamers is also part of the film collective Groovy Movies, which brings together independent filmmakers and showcases their work through an annual premiere event
