Ivan Patorzhynsky

Born in Petro-Svistunovo, Zaporizhia Oblast, Ukraine on March 3, 1896 — died February 22, 1960 (aged 63)

Ivan Patorzhynsky was a Ukrainian opera singer (bass-profundo). After finishing his studies a the Katerynoslav Conservatory, he became soloist at the Ukrainian State Opera in Kharkiv (1925), and later, in 1935, he became a soloist at the Ukrainian Opera Theatre in Kyiv. Between 1944 and 1960 he was a professor at the Kyiv Conservatory.
